ABOUT THE ROLE
- Ensure the high availability and optimal performance of Police Bank’s core infrastructure and missioncritical applications hosted on Windows and Linux/Unix servers.
- Manage and maintain the Bank’s hybrid cloud infrastructure, including the provisioning of new servers across both on-premises and cloud environments.
- Provide comprehensive support and administration of the hybrid application stack, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises and cloud-based systems.
- Identify opportunities for automation and collaborate with the team to implement solutions that reduce manual processes and enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain system reliability, security, and performance by applying patches, monitoring system resources, tuning configurations, and installing or configuring software, hardware components, and digital certificates as required.
- Execute project-related tasks efficiently, ensuring timely delivery within approved budgets and adherence to the Bank’s change management procedures.
- Identify, assess, and escalate risks, incidents, and control deficiencies in alignment with the Bank’s Risk Management Framework and established protocols.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies and applicable legislation.
- Participate in the Infrastructure Team’s on-call roster to provide after-hours support as necessary.
- Administer system access management for on-boarding and off-boarding of employees and contractors in accordance with approved security policies and procedures.
ABOUT YOU
- Tertiary qualified, you have previous experience in a similar role – banking or financial services is ideal but we are open to candidates with system engineer experience from other industries.
- Experience across Linux and Azure preferred
- Excellent communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for technology and a desire to learn and grow.
