What are the benefits of eStatements?
eStatements provide a convenient, faster way to check your accounts 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
How much will it cost?
eStatements are free of charge.
How often will I receive my eStatements?
You will continue to receive your statements at the same frequency as your paper statements. You simply receive them electronically rather than on paper.
How will I know when my eStatements are available to view?
Each time your statement becomes available for viewing online we will send a notification to your nominated email address advising you that your Police Bank eStatement is now available and ready to view via our website.
How long will the Statements be stored online?
Statements will be stored online for 7 years. This is in line with government requirements.
If I sign up will all my statements be available?
Only statements since 31 July 2009 will be available through this service. If you require statements earlier than this date please contact our Assistance Centre on 131 728 or you can view past transaction history through internet banking.
Why do I need a statement when I can view my transactions online via internet banking?
By law Police Bank has to issue you a statement. Online statements only replace the paper statement that is sent to you.
Do I need to be a Police Bank Internet Banking user to register for eStatements?
No, eStatements are available online separately to Police Bank Internet Banking.
Can I access eStatements while overseas?
Yes, you can access eStatements where internet access is available. As with any secure online facility we strongly recommend that you use caution if accessing your statements from an unknown computer.
Can I revert back to receiving paper statements if I change my mind?
Yes, you can request to receive paper statements at any time, you simply change your settings back to paper statements by logging onto eStatements, clicking on “My Details”, then “Change Registration” and select “Cancel”.
Will I be able to print my statements?
Yes, you will be able to print your Statements from within the secure site.
Will I be able to save my statements?
Yes, you will be able to save your statements to your computer if required. Your statements will however be available any time 24/7 via our website.
Will I be able to access eStatements when I close an account?
Yes, eStatements will be available after an account has been closed if the account was registered for eStatements prior to closing it.
Registration and using eStatements
How can I register for eStatements?
To register for eStatements click here and follow the on screen instructions.
Where can I find my registration details?
Please contact our Assistance Centre on 131 728 to obtain registration details.
Is it important that I enter the registration details using upper and lower case letters as they are on the cover letter?
Yes, you must enter your registration details exactly as they appear on your registration letter. Make sure you are using upper and lower case as indicated.
What can I do if I have misplaced my registration details?
Phone our Assistance Centre on 131 728 and they will provide you with your registration details.
How long should I make my User Name?
User names must be a minimum of three (3) characters long and unique. We recommend you use your Member Number (which you use for Internet Banking). If you decide not to use your Member Number as your user name, you may receive an error message if someone else has already used it. You will need to choose a different user name to proceed if this occurs.
What can I do if I have forgotten my User Name?
On the eStatements login page click on “Forgotten your username?” Retrieve it here.Then follow the instructions.
How long should I make my password?
Passwords must be a minimum of eight (8) characters long. When selecting a password, do not choose numbers and letters that can be easily identified or associated with you (such as initials, phone numbers, date of birth etc.)
What can I do if I forget my password?
On the eStatements log on page click on “Forgotten your password?” Reset it here. Then follow the instructions.
How do I change my password?
You can change your password by logging on, click on the ‘my details’ tab and then click on ‘my access password’.
How many attempts will I be allowed if I am entering an incorrect password?
You are given three (3) attempts and then your account becomes blocked.
How can I get the block removed?
Phone our Assistance Centre on 131 728.
I have a joint account, can I register for eStatements?
If both parties currently receive a statement, joint account holders can independently opt-in to view statements online.
Do I advise Police Bank if I change my email address?
You can change your email address for eStatement notifications through the “My Details” section of online statements.
Do I still need to advise Police Bank if I change my mailing address?
Yes, from time to time we may need to contact you in writing via mail.
What happens if I don’t receive my email notification?
If you don’t receive an email notification you need to check your settings including email address within eStatements. If after 3 return deliveries to the latest nominated email address Police Bank cannot complete an email notification, you will revert back to paper statements. Please contact our Assistance Centre on 131 728 if this occurs. If you are concerned about your email notifications you should contact the Assistance Centre on 131 728.
Security
How will account information be kept safe and private?
Your statements and account information will remain within our secure site protected from a range of measures from firewalls to data encryption, and can only be accessed by a personalised user name and password. We will email you a notification that your statement is available to view via our website.
