A Motorcycle Ride to Remember
Police Bank is proud to be sponsoring Australia’s fourth National Police Memorial Ride which will be held on Saturday 14th September 2013.
Members of the Australia wide Police family will join together to ride their motorcycles to Canberra in the lead up to the National Police Remembrance Day to honour their colleagues and mates who have their names recorded on the touch stones of the National Police Memorial Wall. In addition to raising funds for many of the police-related charities, the Wall to Wall Ride also aims to promote safe and lawful motorcycling.
The Wall to Wall Ride is a wonderful commemoration of service and sacrifice and also provides passionate motorcyclists in the policing community with a terrific social event to mingle and ride alongside people from all over Australia.
All serving and retired members (sworn and unsworn) and friends, family and proud supporters of policing are welcome to participate. For those who are not keen on jumping onto a motorcycle, you can still support the ride though making a donation.
The event continues to grow larger with over 1,200 riders forming a one kilometre fleet of motorcycles last year. The registrations for this year commenced on May 1st with over 100 people registering just on the opening day!
The proceeds from registrations, merchandise sales, fundraising and raffle ticket purchases will be divided between all Police Legacies across the country. Last year’s event raised an astonishing $100,000 and we hope this year’s ride will have the same success!
