The Police Transport Command (PTC), are responsible for policing the State’s Transport Network. These frontline officer’s actively police bus, ferry, taxi and rail transport, with the goal of reducing crime. Police attached to the PTC have full policing capabilities to deal with crime and anti-social behaviour, in response to the most up-to-date intelligence. The PTC support all NSWPF commands and communities by patrolling into known trouble areas, whilst keeping a vigilant eye across the transport network to reduce the threat of terrorism.
The purpose of the women in policing conference is about Making a Difference (MAD). The PTC’s focus is upon building resilience and achieving a balance between work and home. It encourages mindfulness and wellbeing and strategies on reducing stress and the pressures of life to deal with outside behaviours.
