In 2017, the New South Wales Police Force will once again undertake the journey across the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea. This endeavour has been taking place since 2006 in order to recognise the significant sacrifice that the Diggers in World War Two made for this wonderful country and to help raise funds for NSW Police Legacy. Over 260 police officers have taken part and have managed to bring a group of Police Legatees across the track each year. This year another group including Police, Fire and Ambulance officers and 8 Police Legatees will be taking part.
A golf day will be held on the 10th March to help raise proceeds to go towards ensuring the future success of the NSW Police Legacy Kokoda Trek Program.
