The NSW Police Boxing Competition is in it’s 5th year and since it’s inception has raised over $300,000 for both NSW Police Legacy and Police Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC).
Policing itself is such a demanding occupation. Officers needing to keep physically and mentally fit, and boxing is a great way to do that. Over the years, police officers have put themselves through a gruelling 16 week training and selection program to enter into the NSW Police Boxing Competition.
This year, 20 police officers will train for four months before jumping into the ring to raise money for two important causes that support our NSW Police Family.
This year’s event will also feature two celebrity bouts with Australian entrepreneur and founder of Yellow Brick Road, Mark Bouris and Gus Worland from Triple M’s the Grill Team. Gus has been a fantastic supporter of the NSW Police and both he and Mark are keen to don a pair of gloves in support of the men and women in our police force.
