The NSW Police Legacy and AFP Legacy Camp is a wonderful chance for Legatee children to make some new friends, meet up with old ones and take part in a number of exciting adventures. Held at Thunderbird Park in Queensland, each year the kids have a blast while taking part in the Survivor Mud Course & Tree top challenge, Canyon Flyer, Bushwalking and Laser Skirmish.Find out more »
New Zealand hosted the 44th Australasian Customs Golf Carnival in Mount Maunganui this month. The event attracted 99 former and current Customs Officers and 28 supporters from Australia and New Zealand. The week was a success for the New Zealand Customs team who retained the Trans-Tasman Trophy they won in Hobart Tasmania last year with 184 to 172 victory. The "Geoffrey Richardson Memorial" Golf Day is a charity day dedicated to the memory of Sergeant Geoffrey Richardson who tragically lost his life whilst working for the NSW Police Force. The charity golf day is to raise money for NSW Police legacy in the hope to assist Margie, Sergeant Richardson's wife to raise their two boys. Since 1968, the Flame of Hope has been a symbol of respect and inclusion - carried with pride by Special Olympics athletes, law enforcement and supporters alike in the lead up to Special Olympics events. In 2017, the New South Wales Police Force will once again undertake the journey across the Kokoda Track in Papua New Guinea. This endeavour has been taking place since 2006 in order to recognise the significant sacrifice that the Diggers in World War Two made for this wonderful country and to help raise funds for NSW Police Legacy. The Special Olympics World Winter Games are being held in Schladming and Graz, Austria in late March 2017.
