Freezin’ for a Reason

Commissioner’s Challenge

Police Bank Chairman David Walton recently accepted the Commissioners Challenge, ‘Freezin’ for a Reason’ at the Bondi Icebergs Club. The challenge was launched by NSW Police Commissioner Andrew Scipione and was issued to Deputy Commissioners Burn and Hudson as well as 150 senior NSW Police Officers.

The chilly challenge, set for 25th June – the middle of winter – is to plunge into the unheated Bondi Icebergs pool. The pool will have a total of 200 kilograms of ice added to ensure it has that authentic polar experience.

The goal of the event is to raise funds for the Special Olympics. The Special Olympics provide regular sporting opportunities for people with an intellectual disability to be active, have fun and socialise.

Police Bank are proud to be a major sponsor for the event. If you would like to make a donation, please visit https://www.mycause.com.au/events/2016commissionerschallenge
