How to access Police Bank Mobile Banking
If you currently use Police Bank internet banking you are ready to go with Mobile Banking. This means that for existing online banking customers there are no new registration requirements and no new passwords to remember. To access Mobile Banking, open a web browser on your phone, navigate to www.policebank.com.au and you will automatically be redirected to mobile banking.
Saving our web app on your phone
iPhone or iPad
The Police Bank mobile site will prompt you to save an icon onto your home screen, for easier future visits. To do this, click on the middle button at the bottom of your screen (see image), click ‘Add to Home Screen’ and provide the icon with a name. An icon will now appear on your home screen that will take you directly to our Mobile Banking site.


HTC ‘One’
Using the standard internet browser, if you browse to a site and then scroll to make the address bar and bottom menu appear, there should be an “Add to” button which allows you to add it to your home screen.
HTC Phones Prior 2012
Using the standard internet browser, if you browse to a site and then tap the ‘options’ button, there should be an “Add to” menu item which allows you to add it to your home screen.

Mobile Banking FAQ's
1. What is the difference between Police Bank Internet Banking and Police Bank Mobile Banking?
There is not much difference between the two channels. Police Bank Mobile Banking is a simplified version of Police Bank Internet Banking that is accessed via your mobile phone.
2. What are my Login details?
Your login details are exactly the same as Police Bank Internet Banking and you don’t need to register to use Police Bank Mobile Banking. If you do not have Police Bank Internet Banking, contact the Assistance Centre on 131 728 for Police Bank Internet and Mobile Banking services.
3. Is my mobile phone compatible?
Police Bank Mobile Banking is an internet based banking service. You can use an iPhone or iPod Touch with the characteristic iPhone application look and feel via Apple’s Safari Browser. If you don’t have and iPhone or iPod, you can use any mobile phone that provides Internet access and uses a Windows Mobile based browsers, however, screen appearance may vary from mobile to mobile.
4. I have a ‘2 to sign’ Account that is not available, how can I access it?
Unfortunately, as Police Bank Mobile Banking is a simplified version of Police Bank Internet Banking, not all the functionality is available. Two (2) to sign accounts can ONLY be accessed via Police Bank Internet Banking.
5. I need to transfer funds to another Police Bank Member but cannot find the option. How do I process it?
This function is still available, however, when you select the ‘Transfer’ button and in transfer ‘To’, an option ‘Pay New’ will appear. Enter the details including the BSB and a new personal payee will be set up. Select ‘Transfer’ again to process. This will still proceed as an internal transfer and the funds will be available immediately for the receiving party. Any external transfer may take from 24-48 hours to be received at the intended destination. Please ensure you input the S account type as well as the Member number in the screen.
6. Why aren’t all my Police Bank Internet Banking personal payees available in Mobile Banking?
Due to limitations within Police Bank Mobile Banking, not all personal payees will be available in Police Bank Mobile Banking. Should you wish to have them available in Police Bank Mobile Banking, new payees should be loaded in Police Bank Mobile Banking. By setting this up in Police Bank Mobile Banking, everything loaded will also be available within Police Bank Internet Banking.
7. Can I make changes to future payments set up in Police Bank Internet Banking?
No, this function is not available. Future payments can be added in Police Bank Mobile Banking but you can only make changes to future payments through Police Bank Internet Banking.
8. Is Police Bank Mobile Banking secure?
Yes. Police Bank Mobile Banking has the same security and authentication procedures as regular Police Bank Internet Banking. You can bank at your own convenience and feel confident that your personal information is being protected.
9. Will you charge me a fee for using Police Bank Mobile Banking?
No. There are no additional fees or charges for using Police Bank Mobile Banking service, only standard transaction fees apply if applicable. Please be aware that charges may be applicable from your service provider. To confirm these details contact your mobile service provider to enquire about your current data plan.
10. Can I access Police Bank Mobile Banking when I’m overseas?
Yes, however data roaming charges may apply. To find out more, please contact your mobile service provider.
11. Police Bank Mobile Banking Terms and Conditions
Words in italics in this document have the same meaning as words contained in ‘Glossary’ section in the Police Bank Internet and Mobile Banking Terms and Conditions.
Each time you use Police Bank Mobile Banking, these Terms and Conditions and Police Bank Internet and Mobile Banking Terms and Conditions apply.
Where there is any inconsistency between these Terms and Conditions and the Police Bank Internet and Mobile Banking Terms and Conditions, the Police Bank Internet and Mobile Banking Terms and Conditions shall prevail.
Police Bank Mobile Banking is a special and an additional feature of Police Bank Internet and Mobile Banking. It is not a stand-alone product. Police Bank Mobile Banking is available only to registered users of Police Bank Internet and Mobile Banking. No other specific registration is required.
Not all mobile devices may be capable of accessing and using Police Bank Mobile Banking. You are responsible for using, having or obtaining a compatible mobile device in connection with any use of the service. Police Bank is not responsible for:
- any ability of a mobile device to access the service or
- any loss or damage to a mobile device resulting from your access or use or attempted use of Police Bank Mobile Banking.
If you travel outside of Australia you may still have access to Police Bank Mobile Banking service. You should check with your telephone communications provider that the mobile device will be able to use relevant network in those countries in which you are travelling. Police Bank is not liable for any additional costs you incur.
Any conditions of use and charges relating to a mobile device are your responsibility.
You will use your Police Bank Internet Banking Access code, Police Bank Internet Banking Password and One Time Password Security Token generated number (if applicable) to log on to Police Bank Mobile Banking.
You can use Police Bank Mobile Banking to access all other banking services not excluded as set out in the Police Bank Internet and Mobile Banking Terms and Conditions for accounts linked to your Police Bank Internet and Mobile Banking which include:
- transferring funds between EFT accounts
- obtaining EFT account information, such as account balances.
- making BPAY payments and payments to accounts that are not linked to your Police Bank Internet and Mobile Banking facility (such as accounts held at other financial institutions).

12. Is there a quick way of switching between my VIP security token and Mobile Banking?
Yes. On the iPhone3GS and iPhone4 you can switch between different tasks by double-clicking the home button on your phone. This will bring up a list of recent tasks, so if you have gone into both Mobile Banking and your VIP Security Token applications you will be able to switch easily between the two applications.
Also, for all iPhone users that have iOS3+ you have the copy/paste function available on your iPhone. Double tap the screen where you see the VIP token number, select ‘copy’ and then when you are prompted though Mobile Banking to enter the number simply double tap the screen where you want to enter your token number and select ‘paste’.
